The midget fearing publisher of Bluff Magazine, Eric Morris, is delving into new territory. His Bluff Media will be putting out a Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) magazine beginning in July.
Bluff is known for covering the world of poker and has been designated as the WSOP official digital publisher and radio partner, covering the WSOP, WSOP Circuit, WSOP Europe, and other WSOP events.
Though Morris claims his magazine's revenue is up, many poker publications both online and in print have suffered enormously as a result of many online poker rooms pulling out of the US market. Others, like Bodog Poker, have stopped advertising offline in the States.
Bluff, like other savvy internet gambling related ventures have begun eyeing other venues. The Mixed Martial Arts arena has certainly grabbed the attention of industry observers who have witnessed Bodog.com produce its own MMA product in conjunction with the MFC. Sports911.com has also delve head on into the MMA stratosphere.
FIGHT! will revolutionize the way in which the most exciting and fastest growing sport on the planet is covered, a presser from Bluff announced this week.
As MMA continues its assault on the mainstream, it is rapidly becoming the sports phenomenon of the 21st century as evidenced by 2006 PPV revenue and 2006 television ratings.
