Another acronym to remember....
Brit gambling group VC Poker plans to make an addition to the lexicon of poker tournament acronyms with a new competition come November. WSOP, WSOPE, WCOOP, WPT and GUKPT will soon be joined by ECOOP - the European Championship of Online Poker, sponsored by the company.
VC Poker is currently putting the finishing touches to the new, ten event internet poker tournament, which it plans to run for ten days this November. Top players from around the planet are expected to be interested in the inaugural event which carries a tempting $2.5 million dollar guaranteed prize pool.
The poker tournament will also showcase an exclusive $50 000 MVP Freeroll competition, where the winner will claim the title of 2007 ECOOP Most Valuable Player.
Poker fans interested in gaining entry to any of the ten ECOOP events on offer can do so online at VC Poker for as little as $1.10.
Full information is available at the website’s interactive schedule, which carries dates, times and qualifying criteria for each event.
Among the tournament’s main events will be Pot Limit Omaha and Omaha Hi/Lo poker games, along with variations of No Limit and Limit Texas Hold’em poker. Each event will offer its own dedicated prize pool and the opportunity for poker players to win a unique ECOOP bracelet.
ECOOP main events are scheduled to take place on the 30th of November and will be followed directly by the $50 000 MVP Freeroll competition.
VC Poker’s MVP Freeroll competition is aimed at rewarding players for their skill, effort and determination. Players can track their performance during the main event by keeping an eye on the MVP Leaderboard, where all top players in the ECOOP showdown will be ranked. At the end of the ten day tournament 50 top players with the highest ranking on the MVP Leaderboard will automatically gain entry into the $50 000 Freeroll competition scheduled to take place on the 11th of December. |
