New 'European Union' license obtained
To broaden the coverage of Celebpoker.com in Europe, a new EU gaming License has been acquired that will allow a Swedish version of the well established site to be presented to Scandinavian players, claims an announcement from the company this week. The "EU license" is believed to be a Gibraltar registration for the Boss Media-powered site, which offers action in 11 different languages.
Dave Donovan, CEO of CelebPoker, said that the Swedish addition is a very welcome and necessary one. "CelebPoker is continually looking to provide poker players from around the world with the chance to enjoy the best possible poker experience. We are very happy that we can now offer this to the Swedish market, and I would like to personally welcome all Swedish players to CelebPoker."
Swedish poker players will have access to CelebPoker's range of online poker games, such as Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, 7 Card Stud and 5 Card Draw. They will also have an opportunity to become part of the Team CelebPoker, CelebPoker's worldwide search for poker players to represent it at major European poker events.
"This is a great opportunity for our Swedish poker players," Donovan added. "Sweden has had a long history of producing some of the best poker players in the world, and I am very excited that some of these elite players will have the chance to qualify and represent Team CelebPoker." |
