Getting into that "big tournament" vibe to hone your poker skills
The major television network NBC and games developer 5000ft Inc have released a new video game that is going to wow pokerheads with a yen for some big tournament action. The new interactive game is based on NBC's action-packed Heads Up Poker Tournament television series, with the theme enhanced with really cool 3-D graphics.
The action places the player squarely in a major tournament setting, competing with up to 63 diverse and A.I.-smart contestants. In a series of matches, the player has to progress through tough heads up games to survive, honing his or her poker skills in the process.
"The 5000ft Inc. team has created a game capturing the true vision we wanted to complement our televised tournament," said Jon Miller, NBC Sports executive vice president. He added that NBC believes the game will resonate very well with its viewers.
Ian Grieve, 5000ft Inc. CEO says: "Teaming up with NBC was a dream come true, and we feel the union has produced an interactive companion that captures all the action, excitement and complexity of the championship itself."
The video game will debut this weekend and will be available for purchase at NBCHeadsUp.com. |
