The National Poker League's 2007 circuit tour is truly a global affair
A Euro 3.6 million prizepool and television action coverage that will be viewed in over 500 million households around the planet are just two reasons why the National Poker League's 2007 Global Circuit Tour will attract top players and solid sponsors.
Billed with some justification as the largest poker event yet in Europe the giant tour lifts off with the Paris Open on May 13 at the Cercle Gaillon in the French "city of light" and will run through to May 22. Buy-ins are Euro 4 000 + Euro 200 registration, and the organisers have promised that previous event champions will be part of the action.
Television coverage across a range of countries will be extensive, with a series of six 1 hour screenings arranged with CBS TV Station Groups, WGN Superstation, France's TF1, Jet Sports, Eurosport and TV Monte Carlo.
Other stops on the Global Circuit Tour this year are the U.K. Open in August, the Asia Open in October and the Vegas Open in November.
The NPL's partners in the Tour include Cercle Gaillon and Aviation Club in France, the Loose Cannon in London, Casino de Marrakech in Morocco and the Hollywood Park Casino in Los Angeles.
