Malta-based online gambling group Unibet has announced that Ragnar Hellenius has resigned as its Chief Financial Officer and will be replaced temporarily by Henrik Tjarnstrom.
Hellenius joined Unibet in March last year and took over the CFO role in July before briefly serving as the company’s Acting Chief Executive Officer while Dutch and French authorities detained Petter Nylander late last year.
“Ragnar Hellenius contribution in connection with the Maria Holdings acquisition has been very valuable,” said Nylander.
“Unibet would like to thank him for his contribution during a hectic and eventful year.
Thirty seven year old Tjarnstrom has been a member of Unibet’s board since 2003 and has worked with the firm’s audit committee since 2004.
‘We are on track with our financial targets for 2010 and will continue the organic growth strategy with focus on maximising profits,” said Nylander.
“The company will not focus on any major acquisitions but potentially minor in the short-term future.’
