Shannon Elizabeth Joins Team MansionPoker.com
2008-01-15
Shannon Elizabeth will be flying the flag at the felt for MANSIONPOKER.COM in a bid for poker fame and a guaranteed $1,000,000 first prize at the prestigious 2008 Aussie Millions Main Event, scheduled from January 14 to 20, 2008.
On Tuesday, 15 January (Day 1, Flight 2), the Hollywood actress makes her debut in the MANSIONPOKER.COM logo 'Down Under' at Crown Casino in Melbourne, where the Southern Hemisphere's richest Poker event, the Aussie Millions, will be hard fought over five days of tough tournament play.
A popular fixture on the international Poker circuit, Elizabeth first came to prominence in the 1999 comedy film American Pie.
The Texan beauty has proved that she is more than just a pretty Poker face at the Tables, having showed her Hold'em "cred" on more than one occasion.
Most recently, Elizabeth was seen on the small screen steeling her way through some formidable competition to make the semi-finals of the 2007 NBC National Heads Up Championship, claiming the 'scalps' of multiple WSOP bracelet winners Barry Greenstein, Jeff Madsen and Humberto Brenes in the process.
Elizabeth joins forces with MANSIONPOKER.COM to lead Team MANSION's fighting shot at earning the 2008 Aussie Millions Championship trophy, the dollars and the glory.
Online qualifier grass3 from Cheshire, England, is Team MANSION's unknown 'arsenal', having bagged a satellite seat to represent MANSIONPOKER.COM via his win in their Aussie Millions New Player Freeroll.
The Brit e-Poker newcomer is set to enter the field of over 800 runners expected to pony up for the $10,500 entry No Limit Texas Hold'em Championship event.
He'll be looking to the pros Elizabeth and Goodwin for guidance and tips on tackling the game's big guns, no doubt with equal ambition to take out the big money prize and the title.
Having found some early form 'Down Under', catching a 10th place cash finish in the Aussie Millions $1,100 Limit Hold'em tournament (Event # 4), Goodwin was unable to take today in the Main Event, and was eliminated just after the dinner break.
Now that Goodwin's not involved in his own bid for Championship victory, expect to find him "sweating" his MANSIONPOKER.COM team mates from the rails, steering the way in true 'Mr Cool' style. |
