G2E showcases a new generation of slot themes
The thousands of delegates attending this year's Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas have been treated to a new generation of slot machine themes, with at least one unusual subject.
Among the brand new slots on display are movie and television themed Sopranos, Star Wars and Indiana Jones. James Gandolfini, who portrayed Tony Soprano in the HBO show, was there to cut the ceremonial tape and unveil the brand new game themed on his award winning mobster show.
Star Wars features the still stirring music and vivid images from the sci-fi thriller from a galaxy far, far away and a long time ago while Indiana Jones is replete with the worldwide adventures of the derring-do 'Thirties action man made so popular by actor Harrison Ford.
Among the more unusual themes unveiled was a slot based on the global online auction house eBay. Ironically, eBay pulled subsidiary PayPal out of the US online gambling cash processing market some years ago. Its license fee for the use of its widely recognised brand is not known. |
