The Bojo Game - all you need for your own virtual home casino
New on the scene from Montreal-based independent virtual games developer The Bojo Group is a new Canadian computer card game and Internet casino simulation program for home use.
Bojo says that the software will go on sale as a download around Saturday, August 25. The developer claims that the game is the newest entrant in the burgeoning casual computer games market, expected by industry analysts to gross more than $1.3 billion this year alone– more than a five-fold increase in sales since 2002 when the young industry sold more than $200 million worth of casual games.
The Bojo Game– Home Edition is easy to learn and play, the company claims. It creates a virtual online Internet casino game in progress with up to 99 999 other simulated or virtual AI player styles. Besides being a new solitaire-type card game, The Bojo Game is the first new way to play draw poker in many years, boasts a press release. At the same time, it is also the first new type of card game that could be offered by casinos.
Casinos currently seem to offer only three basic types of betting card games, although in many variants: poker, blackjack and baccarat.
The game is being sold strictly as a home edition casino simulation game, one which can be played by one person only on one computer only - all in the security and privacy of the home....and clearly with an eye on the legal complications in North America no real gambling takes place - certainly no real money is involved.
It is a risk-free skills game, not requiring a license, the company asserts. Consumer testing has apparently shown that the game is a popular form of entertainment. A simulated five-card draw poker hand, one of the game’s many features, is said to have "captivated poker players for hours on end." In addition to being animated, the game also has its own sound effects.
Downloadable, fifteen minute previews of the game are available for free at Bojogame.com/trial.
The full game will retail at just under $20. |
