Microgaming the software of choice for Gnuf.
A poker room that commenced operations earlier this year with Microgaming software has clearly been successful, announcing this week that it has now also launched an online casino operation using the same software provider.
The interestingly named and Malta licensed Gnuf Ltd has a highly experienced management team, having been founded by a group of former Ongame executives, and has enjoyed growing popularity in the Scandinavian and Nordic markets especially.
A Gnuf spokesman said that the company set out to provide a new type of online gambling experience – one where the players called the shots with an emphasis on player generated content. The site’s community area which features a blog, forum, news and media downloads, has already made it a hit with the players.
The latest partnership with Microgaming will enable Gnuf to offer its players an impressive inventory of over 300 top quality games, including the high profile Hitman and Lara Croft slot series. Multi-language and multi-player capabilities will also reinforce the community aspect of the site by bringing together casino players from across the world.
Gnuf's managing director, Jonas Ödman says, “Our main focus is our players, and we want to provide them with the best gaming software available. Therefore, casino software from Microgaming was a natural choice for us, when extending our offer to a full casino.”
“Gnuf has quickly established itself as one of Europe’s most entertaining gaming sites and the move to add a casino will undoubtedly strengthen their position," commented Microgaming CEO Roger Raatgever.
"After working together for the last six months on poker, we are of course happy that Gnuf recognise the quality of service we provide and has chosen our software for its casino. We take great pride in giving our operators the strongest competitive edge, whether it’s through game variety, quality or technical ability. In the last six months we have added new languages, multi-player slot action and some of the biggest licensing deals in the industry – Hitman and The Osbournes, all of which we look forward to delivering to Gnuf’s players,” he added. |
